  • Vacation Checks

A Pima County Sheriff's Deputy will drive by and check on your house daily while you are away if:

    1. You do not have an alarm system; and

    2. There is no one on your property

If you have an alarm system or there is someone staying on your property, they will not do the check.

You can call and request a vacation check for a period of two weeks – up to one month. If you are going to be away for more than one month, homeowners should call just before the month or 30 days ends, and they will revisit the limit.

Homeowners should call the Pima County Sheriff's "Foothills Substation" and ask for "Vacation Checks" at (520) 351-6311 at least one week in advance. Clarissa Dominguez or one of her colleagues will answer questions and take down your information.
